How to choose

About this collection

From the right design to the editor, step by step.

  1. Chalkboard, floral or simple

Designs include chalkboard lettering, kitchen utensils, delicate florals and clean color blocks. Busy designs leave less room for text, so choose a simpler layout if you want to add a gift list or directions.

  2. Address, parking and gifts

Give the full new address with unit and buzzer details, and mention where to park. If you have a registry or a wish list, add one short line and send the link in your message, since links inside an image are not clickable.

  3. Details to confirm before editing

A new address is easy to get wrong: double-check the unit number, building access and parking before you send. Send the map link in the accompanying message and confirm the time with neighbors or building rules if needed.

Spell out the month in the date — [Month] [day], [year] — and check the time. Include a.m. or p.m., or use a clearly labeled 24-hour time. For guests in another region, add the city and the time zone when needed rather than relying on an ambiguous numeric date.

  4. Example wording to adapt

The following wording is a suggestion: replace the fields in brackets and remove anything that does not apply to your event.
We have a new home! Come celebrate with [Name] on [date] at [time], at [venue] ([address]). Please RSVP to [contact] by [deadline].
  5. From the selected template to the editor

Open the selected invitation page, inspect its preview and use the personalization button to enter the editor. Replace the sample details with your event information and check which elements that template allows you to change. To include a photo, choose a design with space for one or check the editor options. Review the result on a phone and check the download options and conditions shown for that template before completing it. Sharing an image does not automatically make the text inside it clickable: send necessary maps and links in the accompanying message too.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What to check before opening the editor.

What should a housewarming invitation include?
The host’s name, the new address, date, time and a contact for RSVPs. Parking tips and a gift list are optional extras.
Is it OK to mention gifts?
A short, optional line is fine. Put any registry link in the message rather than in the image.
Can I use these for a new apartment?
Yes. They work for houses and apartments; just add unit and access details.
When should I send a housewarming invitation?
About two to three weeks ahead works for most gatherings. Send it once the date and any building access rules for the new place are confirmed.
How do I open a selected template in the editor?
Open the invitation page, inspect the design and use the personalization button. Replace the example event details. Photo, color and design changes depend on the selected template and the options available in the editor.
