About this collection

From the right design to the editor, step by step.

  1. Angels, doves or a photo

Designs feature angels, doves, crosses, clouds, teddy bears and churches, in soft blue, pink, white or neutral tones. Some include space for a baby photo. Choose one that suits the family and leaves room for the full name.

  2. Ceremony and celebration

List the church and ceremony time, then the lunch or reception details on a separate line if there is one. Mention the godparents only if the family wants them named on the invitation.

  3. Details to confirm before editing

Confirm the ceremony time with the church first: baptisms are often scheduled after a regular service. Check the baby’s full name and whether the design is labeled for a boy or a girl.

Spell out the month in the date — [Month] [day], [year] — and check the time. Include a.m. or p.m., or use a clearly labeled 24-hour time. For guests in another region, add the city and the time zone when needed rather than relying on an ambiguous numeric date.

  4. Example wording to adapt

The following wording is a suggestion: replace the fields in brackets and remove anything that does not apply to your event.
Please join us as [Name] is baptized on [date] at [time], at [church]. A celebration follows at [venue]. Please RSVP to [contact] by [deadline].
  5. From the selected template to the editor

Open the selected invitation page, inspect its preview and use the personalization button to enter the editor. Replace the sample details with your event information and check which elements that template allows you to change. To include a photo, choose a design with space for one or check the editor options. Review the result on a phone and check the download options and conditions shown for that template before completing it. Sharing an image does not automatically make the text inside it clickable: send necessary maps and links in the accompanying message too.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What to check before opening the editor.

What is the difference between baptism and christening invitations?
Many families use the words interchangeably. Pick the term your church uses and edit the wording to match.
Can I add a photo of the baby?
Yes, in designs with a photo area. Check the crop in the editor so the photo does not cover the text.
When should baptism invitations go out?
About three to four weeks before the ceremony is common.
Can I include the godparents’ names on a baptism invitation?
You can, on a separate line under the child’s name. Confirm the spelling and that the godparents are comfortable being named before you send it.
How do I open a selected template in the editor?
Open the invitation page, inspect the design and use the personalization button. Replace the example event details. Photo, color and design changes depend on the selected template and the options available in the editor.
